Wardrobe Provided by: The Royal Tenenbaums

We are less than two weeks away from Halloween, do you have your costume figured out yet? I am still trying to figure out what I am going to be, and still trying to top my costume from last year (although I think it can't be done).

For the past couple of years, I've been inspired by my favorite movies (Clueless and Troop Beverly Hills) and created posts revolving around the wardrobes of the films. This year will be no different. Get ready for my favorite Wes Anderson movie of all time, The Royal Tenenbaums, and halloween costumes inspired from the best three characters of the film. Attention men, there are even some costume ideas for you! These costumes are also great done in a group to get the whole family effect.

Beach House

The weather this past weekend was perfect. The slight chill in the air always makes me smile. Call me crazy, but if I could live in a city where the weather was like this year round, it would provide me with ultimate happiness. What's great about this weather is it's the perfect excuse to lounge in your pajamas all day and dive into either a new book or album.

Enter Beach House's, Thank Your Lucky Stars. The band's sixth studio album, and the perfect excuse for a slower paced morning on a crisp Fall weekend followed by a long walk in Central Park.
A poetic album filled with a simply and satisfying energy that will warm your heart even on a cool Fall day. Check out my favorite track "Majorette" below and add to your Fall playlist immediately.

MΛJIK

What are the odds that when placed with a random roommate, the situation works out for the best? When artists Jamie and Marcus, from the band MΛJIK, were randomly chosen to live together in a flat in Leeds, their lives were forever changed for the better. They immediately bonded, made music, recorded some rough demos, and then parted ways. After some time, their paths crossed again and they reunited in London under a new vision and "magic" was made.

On their facebook page, they describe their sound as "music that weaves heart-felt lyrics over atmospheric sounds and broken beats, giving flight to the deepest thoughts we discover through feeling." Expect big things from this duo in the next few months as their recent single "Save Me" is about to blow up all over the internet. It's got a lush electronic production that will have your heart immediately take flight. Enjoy!

Horoscopes for October 2015

MARCH HOROSCOPES

It's Fall folks! Even the Duane Reades are stocked with Halloween candy and costumes (even Christmas cards are out). I know I say this every year, but this year really flew by. Before we know it, it will be New Years. But before we get ahead of ourselves, it is time for your monthly Horoscope courtesy of Susan Miller from Astrology Zone. There are predictions for each sign below from her and then head on over to get the full scoop from her website for the month of October. ENJOY!

AQUARIUS (Jan 20-Feb 18)
Travel is written all over your chart, so you may be packing and unpacking suitcases all month. However, travel won't always be easy, as the September 27 total eclipse of the (full) moon occurred last month, and a troublesome new moon, October 12, is on the way. Both dates are tied to each other in theme. Your third and ninth houses are both linked to travel and relationships with people based at a distance, but these both houses also deal in negotiation and contracts too, another area that appear to be coming up as a strong area of interest for you this month.

PISCES (Feb 19-March 20)
Recently, your mind has been on money, and finding ways to manage the money you have in the wisest way possible seems to have become a priority. You may be consulting with your accountant too, to find legal tax strategies that you can take advantage of before you close your books on 2015. The full moon lunar eclipse last month on September 27 may have brought in a new source of income while another source dried up, but that is often the case when a financial eclipse shows up. Alternatively, that September eclipse may have motivated you to manage funds in such a way so that you could save more and spend less. You may have a goal in mind, such as to buy a house or to have enough money to care for a baby.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
An important change may have occurred in your life last month and more changes may be on the way now. October is a strange little month, holding some difficult aspects, but also some of the best aspects of 2015, all tossed together randomly like children's toys in a toy box. Last month a full moon lunar eclipse in Aries has just occurred, September 27. All eclipses require adjustment, but that one seems milder than most of the ones that have come before. Saturn was on hand to offer a lovely sense of stability, suggesting all types of adjustments, even ones that may be hard for you to do, would eventually work to your favor.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
Life is getting better and better for you, dear Taurus. You may not see the truth of this quite yet unless you have an April birthday, but sooner or later in the coming 12 months, you will enjoy quite a new life. You will be more optimistic than you've been in months - possibly years! - and finally, as you move forward in the weeks and months to come, you will get the lucky breaks you have hoped would happen. A relationship that tested you at some point over the past three years has now settled down or is no longer part of your constant concern. You either fixed the problem in that relationship, saw an improvement in conditions surrounding your alliance, or you broke up. Now you find yourself in a far better place.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
Each month you will see that the new emphasis is on your personal life, a delicious development that will allow you to direct more attention there, and experience the warmth and beauty of having a home and family to come home to at the end of each day. Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, introduced this trend on August 11, and it is to continue a year, to September 9, 2016. You may now see powerful family support for a dream you have, such as to buy a house or apartment. No matter what, you will now be able to buy, sell, lease, or rent a dream space, one that is large, with lots of sun, big closets, and even offer a view.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)
As a Cancer you have a very high emotional intelligence. You are highly sensitive to the feelings of others and to events that happen around you. You can tell instantly when someone is sad, but won't say a word about it, and you gently move in to see if you can help. These qualities are what we find so lovable about you, but these qualities - you are acutely sensitivity to the world - are also those that make sudden change so difficult to absorb. You appear to have been in the process of enormous change for years now, and last month, you may have heard about more shifts happening in your career.

LEO (July 23-Aug 22)
As the month begins, you will be very busy, with many phone calls, messages, meetings, and details to track. You always love to be in the middle of a vortex, and this month that describes exactly where you will be. Everyone will want to hear what you have to say, too, so if you have to appear on TV, give a speech or a lecture, or defend your thesis, you are lucky, as you will not have any problems holding others' attention. In fact, your audience, whether comprised of one or a thousand, will be rapt with attention. If you work in sales, you will be highly effective now and come back with quite a big order.

VIRGO (Aug 23-Sept 22)
As you begin October you will be anxious to get going, because assertive Mars is in Virgo, giving you lots of attractive energy, courage, and drive. Make your plans, dear Virgo, but check them twice. Mercury, your ruling planet, is still retrograde, but only until October 9. Until Mercury goes direct, it would not the time to start actions at full throttle. It is not the time, for example, to hire help or to take a new job for yourself. That being said, good jobs are hard to find. If you get an offer, try to give your final acceptance after October 9. If you can't wait, take the job, fully aware that the job description may change or the person you think you will be reporting to may suddenly shift to different person, and it may be someone you aren't as enthusiastic about.

LIBRA (Sept 23-Oct 22)
It is October, and as you blow out the candles out on your cake, you might make a wish to the universe to bring no more eclipses in Libra or your opposite sign of Aries. You have had a number of these eclipses since they began on April 15, 2014, followed by another lunar eclipse October 8, 2014, and then this year, April 4, 2015. You have just come through another lunar eclipse last month, a full moon lunar eclipse in Aries, September 27, that may have brought important changes in a close relationship or in regard to your health. This is doubly true if your birthday happens to fall on that date, or close to it.

SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 21)
Your life has been on overdrive, and you must be proud of the spectacular work you have been doing in your career. This month brings all kinds of aspects from a tense, jarring new moon to some of the most lovely social aspects you've seen since March. All will be tossed together in the same basket, with joyous aspects standing next to tension-producing ones. This is life - things like this happen - so the way I expect things will work out for you is that in some areas of your life will be spectacular, but in another area, you will have to take special care and attention to watch anything unexpected that may emerge. You will be putting out a figurative fire here or here and will need to mobilize quickly.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22-Dec 21)
Your career began to be a major focus in August when Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, first entered your tenth house of career honors, awards, and achievement for the first time in a decade. Jupiter will remain in your professional house until September 9, 2016, eleven months from now. Having Jupiter in Virgo alone would be cause for celebration, but in order to unlock Jupiter's most generous gifts, you need other planets plus a new moon in your professional house. You had just that last month, and you will have more planetary help in October.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22-Jan 19)
This month, you have all kinds of planetary activity. A number of dates will be spectacular - some of the best of 2015 - and some turbulent. These dates will be tossed together in October like an array of well-worn children's crayons in every color description in an old wooden box. Before I continue, I will alert you to the fact that Mercury will still be retrograde until October 9. Mercury started its retrograde on September 17, and it has been in Libra, in your tenth house of prestigious career progress, causing many delays and false starts during the past several weeks. Soon Mercury will turn direct on October 9, but if you could see the mathematical journey of Mercury, you would soon see that Mercury is not...
