Thankfulness

It seems like just yesterday, Karen, Steve and I were hustlin' our way down 6th Avenue in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Although we will not be gracing your tv's this year, we will still be spending it together in sunny California. I haven't been home since last December. I am really looking forward to a fabulous home cooked meal, daily runs to the beach, and seeing family and friends. I could not be more thankful for an incredible year filled with love, support and laughter. In the spirit of being thankful and 2015 coming to a close, here are 15 things I am most thankful for. Adele

Well Adele sure knows how to end 2015 on a high note. This past Friday she dropped her third studio album 25, and to say that I am hooked is an understatement.  As most of you know, Adele's music appeals to an incredibly wide range of peeps. She is able to perfectly capture the heartbreak and the hurt that everybody has gone thru at some moment in their life. However, she does this in a magical way that hits a nerve, all the while by still keeping in mind that the song needs to be catchy.

Well let me tell you folks, these 11 tracks on 25, are pretty damn catchy. She has been out of the spotlight for a few years, but the world has welcomed her back with open arms. Mark by words, she will be staying at the top for quite a while. Check out my favorite song off the album below and then go out and by the album for yourself this holiday season.

Kississippi

Kississippi is a band from the 21st century. In late August of 2014, Zoƫ Allaire Reynolds and Colin James Kupson met on Tinder and have been collaborating on music together ever since. They honed their skill sets and went in to the Drexel studios in January 2015 to produce an EP titled We Have No Future, We're All Doomed. What's ironic about the title of their EP. is the band has a future which is looking quite bright.

For one, they've got a knack for capturing intimate moments. Their sound is reminiscent towards Beach House with synth-like harmonies, swoon worthy indie pop hooks, and a delicate dreamy guitar haze. Their latest single 'Greyhound' I can't seem to stop hitting the repeat button on. It's a hazy song, perfect for all the people who lie in bed and dream. Wondering if that other person is also lying in bed dreaming. A soft bedroom pop sound that will have anyone drifting to sleep comfortably hoping to find at least Ben Convington on the other side. Take a listen for yourself and enjoy.

Little May

I first discovered Little May back in December of 2013 and they've been building quite a buzz ever since. Now that the Australian trio's debut album is finally out in the open, the world can begin to fall in love with them. Last month, Rookie Magazine took notice of the band and asked them to participate in their monthly theme song series with a beautiful cover of "Skeletons" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Their cover stays faithful to the original. It shares the passion of Karen O with fiery and tender soft harmonies. Take a listen below and get ready to be swept away all over again by Little May.

Horoscopes for November 2015

MARCH HOROSCOPES

We officially have less than two months until the end of 2015. Which means you've got less than 60 days to check everything off your yearly bucket list. Have you accomplished everything? I've still got a few things to cross off, but I am excited in finishing and ending this year on a high note. Get a head start on November with your monthly Horoscope courtesy of Susan Miller from Astrology Zone. There are predictions for each sign below from her and then head on over to get the full scoop from her website for the month of November. ENJOY!

AQUARIUS (Jan 20-Feb 18)
The year is ending on a wonderful career note, dear Aquarius. The best new moon of the year is due on November 11, to fall in Scorpio at 19 degrees, to light your tenth house of honors, awards, achievement, and fame. This new moon will open the gate to allow you to pursue a better position or to get very favorable publicity for your work. If you are self-employed, you can give yourself a promotion by bringing in a large lucrative client who believes in your talents and potential. Take this new moon seriously, and reach for the stars, as this new moon will be the very best one of 2015.

PISCES (Feb 19-March 20)
November is a month cut in two parts, with joyous planets creating plenty of opportunity in the first three weeks. The full moon in the last week of the month will likely be arduous and difficult, but it's not the first time you've seen something similar to this, so you'll quickly see you can handle whatever comes up. Let's not be concerned about that old full moon, but instead focus on the extraordinary opportunity that is coming up for you at the new moon as the month begins, and the other aspects that are sprinkled like confectionary sugar before and after it appears.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
The first two weeks of November will be glorious, and you would be wise to schedule your most important appointments and social activities for that time. You will find the coming month quite a change from October, which might have been stressful and frustrating, partly due to Mercury in retrograde, which finally went direct October 9 but that returned to original strength by October 27. October was also difficult partly because of the witch of a new moon October 12 that caused havoc for many people. I hope you were the exception, dear Aries!

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
As the month opens, you are in a highly romantic mood. Your ruling planet, Venus, is with her lover, Mars, her happiest place to be, on December 2 and 3, and will present you with a wonderful day for finding love or enjoying the love you have. Use it for a first date or if you have no one, you could have a bewitching chance meeting. Venus and Mars will meet in Virgo and will light your fifth house of true love, an exceedingly rare configuration to happen in your love sector. If you are attached, celebrate your love by surprising your significant other with plans for a beautiful dinner or something else that will be memorable.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
November will be infinitely better than October, because last month you had to deal with your ruler, Mercury, retrograde until October 9, and a new moon last month that was fierce and not very nice. This made last month a tense month, where things kept surfacing that made you deal with things suddenly. By contrast, November will be sweet as sugar in the first half of the month, but as you get to the third week, we will have Saturn acting up, and I will show you where and how to deal with him so he won't cause dismay to you.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)
Mars has been lighting your travel sector, so it appears you've been in your car more than usual, driving to nearby cities, and it seems, mainly to see clients or to perform services for your company, or if self-employed, to get projects in motion. This travel-work theme started September 24 and has been ongoing ever since. If you still need to travel to see someone important as you enter November, schedule the trip soon, as you will be switching your focus by mid-month.

LEO (July 23-Aug 22)
As November takes off, you may get good news about money, for Venus and Mars will link in Virgo in your second house of personal, earned income. This is a sweet conjunction, and a rare one in Virgo, so you are likely to notice it. The money you seem to receive appears to be reward for doing such a fine job in your career, for Venus is the natural ruler of your tenth house of fame and honors. Your reputation and influence is growing, and your compensation appears to be growing along with it. It is alternatively possible that you will buy something elegant and expensive that you've eyed, and always wanted, but had to save to afford.

VIRGO (Aug 23-Sept 22)
Life is glorious now, for not only do you have Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, in Virgo for the first time in twelve years, but you also have energetic Mars in your sign too. Jupiter will stay all the way into next year, September 9, 2016. Mars has a much shorter visit - he first came to visit you on September 24, and will leave this month on November 12. Before Mars leaves, make appointments with important people, and make initiations in your personal life too. The force is with you, dear Virgo.

LIBRA (Sept 23-Oct 22)
November will be a far better month than October. You had a very difficult new moon, October 12, which brought a great deal of tension. A project may have gone seriously off the rails, or a certain person near you had let you down (or is revealing incompetence) and forced you to rush to fix whatever it was that was causing you such stress. Once Mars enters Libra on November 12, to stay until January 3, you will be in control, calling the shots, and enjoying the privileges that Mars will give you.

SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 21)
Last month was not an easy one, because of a terribly turbulent new moon in Libra. This month, you have the edge, for it's birthday month and you will be feeling in your element. The finest new moon of the year will occur this month on November 11 in Scorpio at 19 degrees. That's your big day, for it will open exciting opportunities and be powerful enough to completely shift the energy around you to favor you. That new moon November 11 will be boosted by Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, in tight mathematical degree (significant), currently in your eleventh house of hopes and wishes and friendships.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22-Dec 21)
You have come though one of the more difficult months - October - so you should find November welcome relief. You won't be continually surprised by people jumping out of potted plants and events that come at you like errant tennis balls that flew out of the tennis court and straight at you. October was a workout for many Sagittarians, despite the fact that the troublesome new moon, October 12, was in Libra, an air sign that blends well with yours. I can't say November is exactly a party.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22-Jan 19)
You have a beautiful chart at the moment, for it shows a lovely balance between career success and time for romance and friends too. Last month, October, we had a very difficult new moon on October 12 in your prestigious tenth house of fame, honors, and achievement, so in the weeks that followed, you may have had a few nightmares in regard to one or more important projects that went off the rails and that you had to rush to fix.
