Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day Gift Guide

My girlfriend Elana wrote me in a panic the other day as she was at a complete loss of what to get her Mom for Mother's Day. In the past, her and her sister's have bought her Mom bags, jewelry, ballet tickets - basically everything. This year, she wanted a gift a little less ordinary, something out of the box. She challenged me to create a post featuring different and unique gift ideas for Mom that aren't your typical gifts.

The holiday is quickly approaching (May 10th!) and if you haven't figured out what to get the woman in your life who has everything, than take a peak at my top 10 ideas below. Hopefully one of them will spark something creative this year.

1. Treat her to the ultimate day of pampering. First grab a handful of nail polishes from Essie's 2015 collection and then head on over to her favorite nail salon and pick up the bill for her mani/pedi. It's a great mother/daughter activity filled with endless trashy magazines. Who could resist that?

2. Being a mom can be exhausting. Most days there is no time to squeeze in a 20 minute catnap. Help enforce a little slumber by purchasing this beautifully crafted throw blanket from Pine Cone Hill

3. Some mother's are born with a green thumb and some sadly aren't. For those that have difficulty keeping plants alive a great and delightful alternative are these beautiful succulent plants that don't even need water or proper lighting.

4. Personalize her awesomeness and snag a Rose Gold Diamond Accented Letter Necklace.

5. A night at the theater will always put a smile on anyone's face. Hurry to see the best new comedy written and starring Larry David - A Fish In The Dark. It closes July 19th, so grab your tickets fast, she'll love it.

6. If she's a baker then she should be cooking in style. Buy her a fashionable apron from Thornback & Peel and an aqua Kitchenaid. The cookies shouldn't be the only thing that look fabulous.

7. Co Co Chanel once said "You can be gorgeous at thirty, charming at forty, and irresistible for the rest of your life." Ain't that the truth! Pick up her signature scent and she will smell of perfection even at any age.

You can be gorgeous at thirty, charming at forty, and irresistible for the rest of your life.

8. Most new mother's barely have time to take a shower as they are catering to their newborns 24/7. Make an appointment for her at Drybar and her hair will thank you a million times over.

9. Superga always knows how to create stylish, comfortable and affordable sneakers. Pick up these lovely peach colored trainers. Her day of running errands just got a whole lot brighter and more fun.

10. I Love You A Latte, enough said.
