Whitney Port x Cheeky

Last Sunday, the cutest bundle of disposable tableware arrived at Target. The Hills veteran, Whitney Port, dropped a limited-edition collection with Cheeky. Shop exclusively at Target and on the company website for this adorable line of goods. It's too cute you almost don't want to throw it away after use.

The brand and Whitney hope to inspire people to put their phones down and enjoy special moments together at any table either outdoors, home, at work or on the go, all of course in style. Your new tablescape will definitely have a punch of personality to any casual gathering. A great added bonus, with each purchase you make, Cheeky donates a meal to a person in need through nonprofit organization, Feeding America. I think it's time I threw another apt 5B celebration with these fantastic paper plates and cups. Who's in?

Rockets of Awesome

I've been a little distant blogosphere and for that, I apologize for the lack of posts recently. The truth is, I started a new job and life has become busy and magical at the same time. I'm sure you are asking yourself, well how can a job be magical? Well, for one thing, the company is called "Rockets of Awesome" and we are revolutionizing how parents shop for kids.

We are clothing subscription-based service similar to the likes of Trunk Club/Stitch Fix; however, we are only for the little ones. It's super simple to sign up. Just head on over to our website, fill out a quick quiz about your child and we will handle the rest.  I may be biased, but our clothes are well crafted/designed, with the highest standards for durability, quality, comfort and awesome.

So to all my friends with kids - check us out. Our Spring delivery just hit doorsteps, so sign up now to see what all the buzz is about. Your kids will thank us later.

If I still haven't' convinced you, check out this fabulous video of the team behind the scenes working their magic. Or follow the fun on our Instagram.

Yoke Lore

Brooklyn-based artist, Adrian Galvin, formerly of bands Walk The Moon and Yellerkin, is back in 2017 with a big punch. His new moniker Yoke Lore just debuted a new single "World Wings" is the perfect next step in his budding career.

Galvin was born into an artistic family, where his parents spend their days directing, acting and sculpting. Before settling on his passion of music, Adrian dabbled in photography, painting and even ballet. I love the meaning behind his name. In a recent interview, he explained that "A 'yoke' is something that holds things together. 'Lore' means a set of stories or a collection of ideas about an event, time, or culture. I want to tell stories about how things are bound and held together. I think something's value is in its relationship to everything else. Work in the joints; where things come together."

Not only are his electronic melodies and his eyes swoon worthy, he's got an album on the horizon. Fresh off a successful stint at SXSW, he will be heading towards New York at the end of the April. I've got my eyes set on you, Adrian. But for now, I've got this tune to carry me through till next month. Enjoy below.

Sunday In The Park With Geroge

The last time Jake Gyllenhaal was on Broadway, I kicked myself for not paying the benjamins to see him live on stage. This time around, I made a gallant effort to see him on the Great White Way, plus he was in a musical nonetheless by my favorite composer and lyricist, Stephen Sondheim. Although it may have cost me an arm and a leg, it was completely worth the experience.

For those unfamiliar with the show, the musical was inspired by the famous painting "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" (the one from Ferris Beular's Day Off) by Georges Seurat. Now, I know, you're probably thinking, what a strange idea for a musical. However, I can't express enough on what a beautiful musical this was. The main story may revolve around the painting; however, there were other themes that carried through. I left the theater feeling inspired and hopeful for my future.

If my little speech didn't convince you enough, then check out swoon-worthy Jake below. Once your done; grab your wallet and immediately head to the box office.
