Last weekend, some close friends and I saw the new musical Waitress. The musical is based off of the 2007 indie flick staring my favorite leading lady Kerri Russel. The musical is "baked from the heart" with music and lyrics by one of my favorite singer/songwriters Sara Bareilles. If you're a big fan of her work, then you will absolutely enjoy this performance. Plus it features powerhouse Jessie Mueller of "Beauitful: The Carole King Musical" fame.
The official cast recording has yet to be released; however, Bareilles has made an entire album featuring songs from the musical. It's been on repeat since last Sunday in my apartment and there are no signs of me ever turning it off. Check out my favorite tune below and then immediately head to the box office to see this delightful show.
